HOW IT WORKS

Alcohol binds to your brain’s GABA receptors, causing you to feel relaxed. When alcohol leaves your system, your receptors go into rebound, causing the opposite effect. This is why ‘hair of the dog’ or Bloody Marys work so well the next day (though we don’t recommend that strategy).

The dihydromyricetin (DHM) in Cheers reduces GABA rebound by roughly half.

When taken at peak blood alcohol concentration (BAC), the DHM in Cheers binds to those same GABA receptors, working while you sleep to buffer those rebound effects so you can sleep better & wake up feeling better.

Acetaldehyde Exposure

AKA: Alcohol’s toxic by-product that actively work against your natural detoxification processes.

HOW IT WORKS

Alcohol converts into acetaldehyde, a compound 20x more toxic than alcohol itself, before safely clearing from your system. Your body can only metabolize 1 drink’s worth of acetaldehyde per hour, working overtime to help you feel better.

The cysteine in Cheers reduces your exposure to acetaldehyde.

Cysteine will bind to acetaldehyde and form a non-toxic compound called MTCA, effectively neutralizing acetaldehyde. You’ll be able to metabolize alcohol far more efficiently, reducing these next-day effects.
